I am a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in private practice based in Willmar, Minnesota. I serve clients in-person throughout central Minnesota, including the western Twin Cities metro area. I provide virtual services through video conference and to individuals, families, schools and agencies throughout Minnesota.
As a Life Coach and Parent Coach, I work with clients nationwide to increase value-related behaviors and achieve goals.
What is the difference between Behavioral Consulting and Life Coaching?
In a nutshell, clients with a clinical diagnosis require behavioral consulting services. For those working towards personal goals, a more informal life coaching approach is often a better fit.
Behavioral consulting focuses on reducing clinically significant problem behaviors that seriously interfere with the client's quality of life. Life Coaching's focus is improving client quality of life by increasing value related behaviors.
In my behavioral consultation practice, I work with clients who have received a formal diagnosis from a practitioner licensed to diagnose, such as a psychologist or psychiatrist. (As a LBA, I am not licensed to diagnose) I have worked with clients with diagnosis including: Autism, Oppositional Defiance Disorder and Attention-Deficit Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety disorders including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders (OCD) and many more. I conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and write Positive Behavior Support plans and Transition Plans focused on relacing behaviors that interfere with client's quality of life.
In my life coaching practice, I assist clients with identifying their values and the pivotal behaviors they need to increase and decrease to live their values and move towards achieving their goals. Together, we discover the underlying behavioral motivations for current behaviors and design a plan to make positive changes. Then, I provide accountability and problem-solving support to make the plan a reality.

A resident at our home had been scratching open sores for many years, leading to open wounds that became infected. She did this when nobody was watching, so we didn't know if there was anything that could be done about it.
